At my 6 month pregnancy point, I was having my second round of sciatica. I walked into Melanie’s office with 2 canes and walked out without ANY. Not only did she listen intently to my situation, she also helped with my pelvic floor needs for during and post pregnancy. Melanie is a miracle worker. I’ve been having issues with my hip flexors for quite some time and it got to the point where I couldn’t walk normally. I work out quite often and would ask my athletic trainers for help but received the common response of “You need to strengthen your core.” The hard part was that I was using my hip flexors when trying to strengthen my core (I couldn’t figure out how to leave them out of the movement) and it just got worse and worse. After a single session with Melanie she was able to correct my form for everyday movements where my hip flexors were taking over for weaker muscles. She made easily applicable suggestions that have transformed the way I move every day to take the pressure off and relieve the pain.
I feel confident in my ability to workout to my highest level, strengthen my core, and avoid the everyday pain that used to prevent me from enjoying a simple walk. THANK YOU, Melanie!

Melanie Connell is so knowledgable and looks at the whole body and movement patterns, including proper breathing when treating patients. I had been dealing with low back pain for months and she was able to gibe me practical exercises and stretches along with visits for soft tissue work that got me out of pain in a short amount of time. Melanie helped me with pelvic floor issues as well as chest pain I was having. What I loved most about working with her is that she is patient, calming and intentional. You don’t feel rushed or not cared for. She has a super sweet spirit to her that allows you to relax and take in all that she is doing. I told my husband I would feel like I just went to the spa after an appt with her because she has this ability to carry so much peace! Even in the way she treats you- her hand would touch my head to check for balance and I’d feel like I just got a massage! I also appreciated her natural and holistic approach to how she treats! Melanie is a wonderful PT! She helped treat a nagging running/overuse injury in my back/hip. She really takes a holistic approach to treatment which I hadn’t experienced with past physical therapy. To treat my hip and back she looked at my ankles and running form, as well as my balance and breathing. It was a real game changer! Before starting to work with Melanie, I had been struggling with nagging lower back pain. I’ve had 4 sessions with her so far and have not had any pain in quite a while now. I’ve really loved working with Melanie and love her holistic approach and desire to find the root of the problem, not just fix/treat a symptom. I’ve been working with her through video calls and it has worked really well! I would highly recommend working with her either in person or via video call.
