I highly recommend Melanie! After 4 babies I ended up with Diastasis, which caused me a lot of lower back pain and made me look like I was forever 4 months pregnant! Melanie gave me the confidence to continue working out by providing safe ab exercises to strength my core. But she did more than just that — she helped me with overall body movement. Melanie is a miracle worker. I’ve been having issues with my hip flexors for quite some time and it got to the point where I couldn’t walk normally. I work out quite often and would ask my athletic trainers for help but received the common response of “You need to strengthen your core.” The hard part was that I was using my hip flexors when trying to strengthen my core (I couldn’t figure out how to leave them out of the movement) and it just got worse and worse. After a single session with Melanie she was able to correct my form for everyday movements where my hip flexors were taking over for weaker muscles. She made easily applicable suggestions that have transformed the way I move every day to take the pressure off and relieve the pain.

I feel confident in my ability to workout to my highest level, strengthen my core, and avoid the everyday pain that used to prevent me from enjoying a simple walk. THANK YOU, Melanie!

Melanie Connell is so knowledgable and looks at the whole body and movement patterns, including proper breathing when treating patients. I had been dealing with low back pain for months and she was able to gibe me practical exercises and stretches along with visits for soft tissue work that got me out of pain in a short amount of time. Melanie is the best! I came here for a rib issue that I have been dealing with for over a decade. I always felt like my ribs were poking an organ. Lots of Drs tests said organs were fine, and it was scar tissue. Turns out my ribcage was very tight from how I was breathing and squeezing my abs. We did some therapy for 6 weeks and I am already better, I am amazed! I don’t have that baby foot in my ribs sensation anymore. She also helps you mentally and she is such a great listener. She truly cares for her patients. I’m so thankful and will recommend everyone that needs some PT to go see her!

If you have ever attended Burn on a calisthenics/ jumping day, I’m sure you’ve heard someone make the comment “I’m going to pee my pants!” It is too often true for women, especially those who have had children, to have a weakened pelvic floor… but it does NOT have to be the situation forever! I have done so many kegels during/after both of my pregnancies and attended a well known therapy center, but neither allowed me to return to running without leakage 🙈. Fast forward to my first few visits with Melanie at Remedy and I am back able to run, jump rope and push myself even harder at Burn without worry!
